The Donkey All Breeds Society of Australia Inc. Australian National Donkey & Mule Registry & Stud Book. The main focus of the Society is to preserve the different breeds and types of Donkeys and Mules in Australia by maintaining accurate registries and stud books for each breed and type, and also to promote the qualities of these versatile and personable animals. Individual registries are maintained for each breed/type of Donkey, enabling histories to be traced, more informed breeding, and to support the future integrity of each breed.

The National Miniature Donkey Association (US) The Association's goals are to protect and promote the Miniature Donkey breed, and to provide an educational forum for owners and breeders on donkey care and management. A US site, rich with interesting and useful information.
* The Official NMDA Miniature Mediterranean Donkey Breed Standard:
NMDA's Official Breed Standard is the only Breed Standard for Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys. Created in 1996 it has been widely praised and used as a framework/guide for other breed organisations.

Miniature Mediterranean Donkey Association (UK) Our purpose is to ensure the welfare of these special little donkeys and to assist breeders and pet owners. The Miniature Donkey Stud book of the UK is the only register created solely for the Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys in this country and were opened 12 years ago to ensure that the purity of this special breed of donkey in Great Britain. The Stud book has now been recognised as a Stud book of Origin (mother stud book) under the terms of the EEC. The Stud Book has three sections: ID register: General Register and Studbook Register.
